ムーミン展

広島県立美術館へ「ムーミン展」を見に行ってきました。

子どもの頃、テレビでよく見ていたムーミン。
大きくなってからは絵が好きで本を買いました。物語がまた面白いのです。
子どもたちは映画を一度見たくらいで、キャラクターとしてのムーミンしか知らないけど、
一緒に行きました。

ムーミンの本の挿絵を中心に展示があったのですが、
小さな挿絵には優しい線で書かれたムーミンたち。
子どもたちも、小さなムーミンがかわいいと大喜び。

ムーミンの生みの親トーベ・ヤンソンさんは、最後はフィンランドの島で暮らした人で、
その無人島での暮らしの本もとても面白いです。
あえて厳しい自然と向き合った中で、生まれた線は優しくもあり、厳しくもあり、
白黒の世界を表情豊かに描きます。

厳しい自然の中で、生まれてくる良いものを見たような気がしました。
