桟橋で手に入れた小さな冊子。
宮島自然史研究会監修で廿日市高等学校の美術部もイラストで参加しているものでした。
鹿と触れ合うことで、人間の匂いがついたものを食べて、
その結果病気や死に至る場合もあるということ。
街に鹿がくることで、街の近くの森が鹿によって食べられて、
鹿の嫌いな植物だけ残るというように、生態系まで壊してしまうのだそうです。
そんなことをイラスト入りで分かりやすく説明してくれ、
子どもたちも改めて人がエサをやることで、良いことはないということが分かったようです。
確かに山の方の鹿はきれいで、角もしっかりしていて、
人に懐いている街の鹿とは違うなと見る目も変わりました。
訪れる人にも、こうやって知ってもらうことで違ってくるのだろうなと思いました。
