本日、宮島杓子供養式が行われました。
会場である誓真大徳碑は光明院の上の高台にあります。
寒さが予測されましたが法要の間は陽射しもさし寒さも多少和らぎました。
まずは光明院の住職さんにより法要が行われました。
続いて供養する杓子に点火され・・・・・ それぞれ、杓子に感謝の気持ちを込めて火の中へ
事前に公募された「感謝の手紙」コンテストの入賞作品の発表がありました。
一般の部は呉のベテラン主婦さんの作品で、結婚当時を振り返り、
「しっかり頼んだよ」と義母から財布と共に宮島杓子を手渡され、
杓子は「食いっぱぐれがないように」との義母の優しさ。
それから、数十年食いっぱぐれのない人生だった事に、
誓真さんと義父母に感謝された心温まる作品でした。
学生の部では、宮島学園の4年生Ｍちゃんの作品でした。
こちらは、地元の子供ならではの生活に密接な誓真さんの井戸や杓子を題材とし
生活に必要な物を作ってくれた誓真さんに感謝する内容でした。
4年生とは思えないほど、宮島をよく学んでいる事のわかる作品でした。
また、今回は昭和20年代に作られ長く歌われていなかった「誓真さんの歌」の披露もありました。
「誓真さんの歌」は宮島で教職をされていた先生が作曲され、
今のおじいさん、おばあさん世代が小学校の頃はよく歌われていたそうです。
しかし、時代と共にだんだん歌われなくなり、最近では楽譜や音源自体なくなっていたそうです。
しかし、色々な方の努力で作曲者の奥様の所在がわかり今回の復活につながったそうです。
皆さんの「次世代に残さねば・・・」の強い思いがあったからこそ実現したのです。
それを、孫世代の宮島学園の子供達が中心となり参加者一同で歌いました。
誓真さんに感謝するスローな曲調の曲でした。
その他、誓真さんが考案された杓子に近い現在の杓子が展示されていました。
現在見慣れている杓子とは違い、柄が長く顔は丸みのある形です。
宮島学園の生徒が授業の中で描いた杓子も展示されていました。
どの作品も中学生が描いたとは思えない力作ぞろいでした。
閑散期に行われるこの宮島杓子供養式ですが、とても中身の濃い式でした。
甘酒やお茶、紅葉饅頭の振る舞いもあり体を温めてくれました。
もっと、大勢の方に参加していただき、誓真さんの事を知っていただきたいです。
