今年も宮島土鈴の教室に行ってきました。
その年の干支の土鈴を作るのが恒例となってきています。
粘土を石膏の型に詰めて、しばらく置き外します。
それを翌日、はみ出した粘土を取ったり、ひびを直したりきれいにします。
今度は、形ができた粘土の人形を乾かして焼いてもらいます。
３月に焼き上がった土鈴に色付けをして仕上げます。
先生に教えてもらいながら作業をするのですが、
手を使ってモノを作る一連の作業も楽しいし、先生から聞くお話も楽しいです。
昔のお話、土鈴のお話、これからのお話など．．．。
宮島観光協会が作った手ぬぐい。
この「鹿猿」はこの宮島土鈴のデザインだそうです。
とてもかわいいです。
