先日、広島県立美術館で行われている「日本伝統工芸展」に行ってきました。
ここ数年この時期のお楽しみで見に行っています。
「伝統工芸品」というと敷居が高いイメージですが、
予備知識なくても、自然の素材を生かして人の手で作り出される
美しいものには感銘を受けます。
子ども向けの鑑賞ノートがあったのですが、基本的なことが書いて あり役に立ちました。
その中で、「伝統工芸はただ単に古い昔のものではありません。
伝統の基礎を受け継ぎながら、発展させて現代の生活に活かし、
将来に受け渡す力、それが伝統なのです。」
という言葉が印象的でした。
生活に人の手で作られたぬくもりのあるものを取り入れる。
そういう心がけからならと、数々の工芸品を見て思いました。
宮島からは、木工でこの間講演会があった小松寿山さんと小林利幸
さんが入選されていました。
美しいものを見ると、心もきれいになった気がします。
