大晦日の今日は、朝から寒い日となりました。
でも、ここ宮島には威勢のいい声や笛が鳴り響いています。
そう、今日は鎮火祭なのです。日中は松明が町内を練り歩きます。
松明は「おめでとうございま～す」と家々を周り、来てくれたら祝儀を渡します。
松明は、同級生やクラブチームなど様々なグループが出しています。
昔はたくさん出ていたようですが、やはり年々少なくなっています。
そんな中、若い子が同級生で頑張って毎年出している人たちもいます。
大晦日に、松明のために予定をあけることはなかなか大変なことです。
今年は・・・ちょっと人数は少ないですが、頑張っています。
鎮火祭の始まる夕方には、もう少し集まるのでしょう。
でも、若い人たちが宮島の伝統行事を受け継ごうとしています。
これは、すばらしいと思います。頑張ってね！！
松明がくると、イヤでも年が暮れる事を実感させられます。
今年も、宮島の素朴なアレコレを書いてきました。
お付き合いくださった皆様・・・ありがとうございました。

来年も「宮島の今！」をテーマに旬がお伝えできればと思います。
少し寒い年越しとなりそうですが、お体に気をつけて。
