宮島では年越しの準備がちゃくちゃくと・・・進んでいます。
鎮火祭で使われる松明も宮島の風物詩といえるでしょう。
宮島学園でも終業式の昨日はお餅つきと松明づくりが行われました。
今年度からは小中一貫校として、さらに地域伝統を学んでいます。
このような行事も地域の多くの方々が協力してくださっています。
だから、学校の話題には縁のないような高齢者の方からも
「あんたんとこの○番目の子はかわいいの～」
「がんばりよったで～」と言葉をかけてくださいます。
地域とのかかわりが薄くなっている昨今、親としてはありがたいです。
島内でお互いが顔を知っている事。あいさつを交わす事。
島のみなさんに育てられている事を実感します。子供は島の宝です！！
子供達もホント穏やか過ぎるほど穏やかです。
今年は、事前に鎮火祭やミニ松明の作り方、もちつきうたの資料も配られていました。
自分の育った町の事をどれだけ知っているだろうか？
・・・知っているようで、あまり知らなかったりもする。
そう思うと、宮島の子供達は地域の伝統、文化を学ぶ場がある。
しかも生の声で！！これは、すばらしいことです。
その分継承者としての期待、責任も大である。がんばってね！！
それにしても、作って帰ったこのミニ松明を見ただけで、性格がわかってしまう(-.-;)
個性というのか、なんといいましょうか・・・・
楽しく作っている子供、一生懸命取り組んだ子供。
それぞれの姿が目に浮かぶようです。
まあ、我家のお守りとして鎮火祭には火をもらいに行こう！！
