現在、4月に伝統産業会館がリニューアル後初の個展が開催されています。
それは、伝統工芸士（ロクロ細工）の小松寿山木芸展です。
昨日（11月22日午後2時～）は小松寿山による解説会が行われました。
会場である伝統産業会館１階は、お客様で満席となりました。
解説会では、宮島細工とは？伝統工芸とは？からはじまり・・・・
日本人は木を好む人種である事、手動足踏みロクロの時代から現在までの話、
国産の材料についての話など、いろいろな角度から話してくださいました。
小松さんのお話は、さすが長年の時代の流れを見た納得のいく話でした。
なかでも印象に残ったのは、現在の生活様式と伝統工芸の差！！
また、写真を用いて説明してくださった国産材のお話でした。
植林の段階から、違ってきているようです。
そんなお話を聞いて、あらためて作品を見ると・・・・
もう、こんな作品はめったに出来ないだろうな～と少し寂しくもありました。
手で磨きこまれた、肥松の一文字の木目のきれいさにうっとり。
自分も、こんな一文字のように大切に一つのものに愛着をもちたいな～。
そして、一緒に時間を重ねていきたいと思いました。
そこで奮発して、肥松の香合を購入しました。
お香などたしなみはありませんが、ただ木を磨くために。
木を持ったときの柔らかさ・・・・癒されますよ。
何十年後には、ヤニで赤く透けるまで磨き込めたらな。
この解説会を通して、みなさんに伝統工芸を身近に感じてもらえたらうれしいです。
そして、絶やしてはならない大切な物が見えたような気がしました。
明日が個展最終日です。

ダイナミックでいいですねー。
美術品や工芸品に対して造詣が深くないので、つい直感に頼る見方をしてしまう悲しさ。
歴史背景を知った上で鑑賞するともっと心に残るのでしょうね。
人も町も歴史を知れば知るほど遺さなくてはいけないものが見えてきて愛着も増します。
今の自分こそ、拝聴しておくべきお話でした。
