中国地方が梅雨入りしたのはいつだっただろうか。
入梅入りしたとはいえ宮島では、毎日暑い日が続きます。

 

ところで・・・宮島島内へ一歩入ると、道路が細く慣れていても車の運転が困難だったりします。
カーブミラーを注意深くみなければならない場所もいくつもあります。
表参道商店街の中は時間により車の規制があります。

今の時期宮島への来島者は、修学旅行生や団体さんが主です。
先日、こんな場面に出くわした。車の規制のない道路での事・・・
私の車の前に数台の車がいました。そこへ、曲がり角から年配の団体さんがぞろり・・・
あっという間に「ここは、歩行者天国？？？」と思うほどだった。
おまけに、ちょっとした渋滞状態になった車に対し文句を言う始末(-.-;)

観光客の方々にとっては、年に一度のお楽しみ旅行かもしれない。
でも、ここ宮島にも普段の生活時間が流れている事も少しわかっていただきたい。
もちろん、宮島島民も気持ちよく観光していただけるよう努力しなければいけません。

 

最近読んだ島田紳すけの「すべらない沖縄のガイドブック」の最後にこんな一節があった。

自分がへこんだ時に、小さな島に行って癒されるのが旅の醍醐味だと思っている人は以外に多い。
小さな島で素朴な人たちと触れ合うとそんな気がするような錯覚を抱いてしまうのだろう。
<中略>
だが、そこで「小さな島にいる人は、みんな何も考えないで、気楽そうでいいな」と癒されるのは大きな勘違いである。

私はこの一節にとても共感してしまった。
都会のように高層ビルに隠れるわけにもいかず・・・
小さい島だからこそ、小さい社会だからこその苦労もある。
でも、そんな島が好きでもある。

 

私も最近ちょっとブルーな日が続いていましたが・・・

島仲間からの刺激を受けてまた頑張ろうと思いました。
少しでも自分の心地よいと思える時間を自分で作る事だと・・・

久しぶりにパンを焼いてみました。私の心地よい時間です。
