千畳閣

２月に宮島で開催された押し花NIPPON大賞を見に行きました。
押し花のすばらしかったのはもちろんの事、私はもうひとつ楽しみにしていたことがありました。
それは、重要文化財である千畳閣の中をじっくり見れることです。
塔の岡の高台にあるため、普段は下から眺めるだけでした。
厳島神社へ行く機会はあっても千畳閣へはなかなか・・・・
それだけに押し花＆千畳閣は魅力的でした。
大きな柱や床板・絵馬・・・どれを見ても歴史を感じすばらしいです。
今、こんな建築物を建てようにも国産の木は手に入りません。
これだけの木や瓦など、あの人力の時代にどうやって・・・・
そして、どれだけの時間をかけて建てられたのだろう？？？
とても興味深く見入ったと同時に中国の南大門の事が頭をよぎりました。
たった一人の心無い行動により、長い時間をかけ守られたものが一瞬でなくなってしまう。
今後同じ時間守られ伝えられるものが、はたして今できるであろうか・・・っと。
宮島も人事ではないな～～大切に守らなければ・・・っと。

また、千畳閣からの景色のすばらしいこと！！
厳島神社も千畳閣から見下ろすと、回廊の全体が見え新鮮でした。
新たな発見でした。
新緑の頃、また足をのばしてみたい場所です。

豊臣秀吉により発願され建立された大経堂。
秀吉の急死のため建物の外講は整えられる事なく、未完成！！(@_@) 秀吉の霊神を閣内にうつして豊国神社とされる。
畳が８５７枚敷けるので千畳閣と呼ばれている。
