鎮火祭

これは、なんだかわかりますか？？？
宮島では、毎年12月31日午後6時より「鎮火祭」という火難除けの祭事があります。
その「鎮火祭」で使われる松明です。
大晦日の昼には、この大松明を何人もの男衆が担いで町内を練り歩きます。
午後6時の祭典のあと、浄火（火打石でおこした清浄な火）を持ち寄った松明に一斉点火され、
「ピピ（笛）ヨイヨイ」の掛け声で神社入り口から石鳥居の間を何度も駆け回ります。
この火を持ち帰り、火難除けとなります。

どんな祭事かは知っていますが、点火した松明が行きかう様子はまだ見たことはありません。
主婦は年末のこの時間忙しいもんで・・・
今年こそは！！見れるといいけど・・・

今年は子供が学校でミニ松明を作ってきました。
これに浄火をいただき、我家の火難除けにしようと思います。

なんでも、ひもを男結びするのが難しかったとか・・・・
