「ちょうちん行列」は長浜神社から厳島神社へとむかいました。
御座船は長浜神社から大元神社そして厳島神社に帰還します。
「ちょうちん行列」の一行は厳島神社で祈祷していただき御座船を待ちました。
午後１０時３０を過ぎた頃、大鳥居の向こうに御座船。
そして大鳥居をくぐってだんだん近づいてくる御座船。
・・・・・・いよいよ祭りもクライマックス・・・・・・
客神社と廻廊に囲まれた「枡形」で御座船が管弦を奏しながら
ギリギリいっぱいのスペースで３回まわりました。
これは、船長と漕ぎ手の息が合わないとうまくいきません。
一時の油断も許されません。
２回まわった頃には、どこからともなく「船長」コールと大きな拍手が沸きあがりました。
そして無事３回まわり、優雅さと男の力強さを感じる祭りは幕をおろしました。
この日は船便も増便され宮島発・・・・ＪＲ１０時４０分・松大汽船午前０時でした。
泊まらなくても管絃祭が堪能できます。
祭りとしては昔のような派手さはありませんが、きっと歴史と優雅さは味わえることでしょう。
