今年の管絃祭は本日７月３０日に行われます。
旧暦６月１７日の夕刻から行われるので、毎年日にちが変わります。
管絃祭は宮島を代表する海の祭りです。
管絃祭ともなれば昔は１週間前位から、大漁旗を掲げた漁船が
何十艘も停泊し島民との交流もあったそうです。
なかには、お風呂を貸してあげたりご飯をご馳走したり・・・
と言う事もあったそうです。
なんか、良い時代ですよね～。
今では、前日より何艘かが来る程度です。
長浜神社で帰還する御座船を出迎える「ちょうちん行列」があります。
午後８時３０分より長浜神社横で約８００個のちょうちんが無料配布されます。
ちょうちんを片手に平安気分をあじわってみませんか？
御座船は長浜神社、大元神社で祭典後午後１０時～１１時ごろ
厳島神社に帰還します。

宮島って、いろんな行事が行われるんですね。
管絃祭って、広島人なんですが一度も見たことがありません。
